John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

As we wait for our next grandchild to be born, our love for Palmer Kate grows more and more with each passing week. That's the beauty of a baby, our love for him/her, the whole reason to have a child.

With the month of December, we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. He did not come into this world because we loved Him, but because He loved us. God's desire to commune with us is hindered by the sin that lives in us. Because He is holy and righteous, He can't even look upon us as sinful people.

But God. He sent His Son to earth as a sacrificial lamb, to take our sins to the cross, die, and came back to life 3 days later, defeating death. By believing in the virgin birth of Christ, asking Him to come into your heart, seeking forgiveness, and committing your life to Him, you can have a personal relationship with God. The blessings of that relationship are eternally secure.

As you celebrate the birth of Christ this month, remember why He came and make room in your heart for His unconditional love to fill you with joy, peace, and love, so you can share the gift of Jesus Christ with those close to you.
