We are hard pressed
on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed – always carrying
about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may
be manifested in our body. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10
God’s blessings are
always welcome, and quite often they occur without notice. Let’s face it, when
things are good in life, we almost expect good to come our way, and those
blessings God showers down sometimes become routine. This is until something
tragic happens.
Hurricane Helene
came and left destruction along her path. Many lives were lost, and some still
missing. Social media has provided us a front row seat to the actual devastation
and loss people experienced. But through the horrific tragedy, many Americans
have come to the rescue, providing much needed food, water, clothing, and
embracement of love. I follow several people I know who’ve experienced loss, and
they have stated on many occasions how they’ve been blessed by the little
things people have done and shared.
I encourage you to
always be thankful for the good times God allows in your life and appreciate
the blessings He bestows. But, don’t let those become routine and unnoticed.
God often allows a change in course so we’ll recognized our dependence upon Him
during the worst events of life. No matter what happens, God has your back and
will always find ways to bring light to the darkest moments of life. God bless!
