James 2:10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
Well, social media has someone else to judge. A married man and CEO of a financial firm was spotted with his suspected mistress and co-worker. Many social media reporters are having a heyday reporting the bad news and thousands, maybe millions of people are commenting in judgement.
When I read this story my first thought was, thank heavens I'm not that guy. Maybe you felt the same and probably feel a sense of righteousness for not living that kind of lifestyle.
Today's verse has something to say to all of us….we are sinners of every violation known to man. Yeah, so maybe you aren't guilty of murder, adultery, maybe even gossip. In God's view, no sin is greater or lesser than any other wrong doing.
Matthew 7:2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.
We all in the same house together, a house of sinners, no greater and no lesser…everyone is equal. Instead of judging and having malicious thoughts about others, let's pray for them and ask God to bring healing, and the same for ourselves. No one, and I mean no one is worthy to judge, except Jesus Christ. Thankfully He took care of sin’s payment for God's children, He needs us to have a repentant heart and follow Him in obedience.
