For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 1 Corinthians 3:9

 Think about it, without nails a building would not stand, without seeds nothing would grow, and without you there would be a void of your influence on others. Everything in this world needs something else to work.

 Today’s scripture reminds God’s children that we are His workers, we are God’s field, and we are God’s building. Everything about us and our lives exist to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. Whether you know it or not, God uses every person’s talent to make His plan to reach the lost work, that even includes people who are disabled, sick, and even unto death. Nothing happens in the life of a Christian without it being a part of God’s perfect plan.

 As children of God, we need to always make ourselves available for His operations. Surrendering your life to Christ is more than having faith in Jesus Christ, it’s complete surrender of your plans, pursuits, and passions for His. You might think that is unfair, but the truth be told, God blesses His children when they relinquish these things for something better. We are not put here to sever self, we are here to serve others through the plans and purpose God has for each one of us, including you.

 Maybe you don’t feel as if your life is worthy of His kingdom work, or you don’t believe you have any talents for Him to put into play. You’d be wrong to think in that manner, and actually you are limiting what God can do through your weaknesses by believing you don’t have anything to offer.
