Seek good and not evil, that you may live; So the Lord God of hosts will be with you. Amos 5:14

Life can be complicated at times, at the hands of our own actions. Have you ever made poor choices that resulted in a complete mess of your life? Maybe you engaged in a wrong relationship, took on a financial debt you couldn’t pay back or found yourself in a conflict with someone and now have to go to court to face your accuser. At times like this, one can feel hopeless and without a clue how to dig themselves out of this pit. Does this sound familiar in your situation?

Today’s verse, found in the book of Amos, gives a simple solution to the path forward: seek good and not evil. Right now you might be thinking what a mess you’ve made, and quite frankly you will probably live with the consequences of poor choices for a long time. But, it doesn’t make sense to continue in the path of wrong doing. The best way out is to pray and pursue good, even if it’s painful. It starts with being humble, accepting your wrong-doing and seek the best way to right the wrong. When you do, your outlook changes, people see the change in your life and hopefully, over time, opinions will change and trust will redevelop.

Life is full of choices, but the best way to steer clear of trouble is to always seek good and not evil. The Lord God will be with you when you chose right over wrong, every time! God bless!

Therefore do not case away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise. Hebrews 10:35-36

One of Satan’s greatest weapons for Christians is doubt. He does his best to create feelings of uncertainty and doubt about your eternal salvation, thus making you less effective in living out God’s will and purpose for your life. As a result, you will miss out on God’s blessings. So how can you block out Satan’s static?

One way to help filter out his lies is to pray and study God’s word. These two necessary resources will open a direct line of communication between  you and God, which the truth of your eternal security will be confirmed by God’s promise to received you unto Himself, by accepting His grace and mercy through Jesus Christ sacrifice on the cross. As you read the bible, your mind becomes full of God’s promises, which will provide a shield of truth to the lies of Satan.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

If you’ve received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, you are saved for all eternity. Now go live for Him daily, without fear or doubts about your eternal security.

Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it. Mark 10:15

This time of year children are expecting to receive toys for Christmas. As parents struggle through department stores, their children beg for certain toys, reaching out to grab what they can get. Standing inside the buggy they beg their parents for a toy. I’ve experienced this first hand and to see their excitement when they receive it is heartwarming.

From the very words of Jesus Christ, He spoke today’s passage. As a child of God, you’ve got to ask yourself, does your relationship with Him have the same enthusiasm as a child in a toy store? As adults living in today’s world the pressures and demands of life can easily distract you from a childlike faith in Jesus Christ. You might go through all the motions of a Christian, but the true connection with Jesus Christ is missing. How can you have a childlike faith?

A deeper relationship with Jesus comes over time. Through prayer, bible study and having a obedient heart will allow you to recognize the void you have and the need for Him to help you in your daily walk. Time and time again, I have seen the hand of God working in my life, which simply reinforces the fact that I need Him, I long for His presence and without Him I’m simply going through the motions, missing out on His best.

Ask God to put that childlike faith in you and seek after Him in all areas of your life. Commune with Him through prayer and bible study and you will too see the need, the desire to know Him on a deeper level. God bless!

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

The process for construction begins with a need. A need for a building to serve a specific purpose and its location is critical for the success of the business. Once the construction starts, all the pieces come together in an orderly fashion and eventually it becomes a fully functional building to meet the needs of the owner.

For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 1 Corinthians 3:9

As a child of God, you were appointed a place on earth to serve a specific purpose for God’s kingdom. Even before you were born, God knew the plans He had for you (Jeremiah 1:5). He placed you in the perfect environment for your growth. From an outward appearance, it might not seem perfect by any means, but it was meant to grow you and guide you down a specific path so you’ll be prepared for your purpose. As the pieces of your life come together, so does the progress of God’s work and thus you become a living testament of God’s love, grace and mercy to all of mankind.

If anyone’s work, which he has build on it endures, he will receive a reward. 1 Corinthians 3:14

Where are you in God’s construction project? His work never ends; so if you are at the beginning stages or nearing the end, continue in your work for the Lord. His purpose for your existence is to serve Him and help others find their way into the kingdom. Serve Him well; for each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work 1 Corinthians 3: 13.

Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use it, it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:38

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! This special time of the year provides many opportunities to show our gratitude of God’s blessings by sharing with others what He has provided. And God has provided plenty to you and I and everyone who enjoys the benefits of living in this land of freedom.

As you celebrate God’s goodness today, be mindful of the many men, women, and children who are in need and ask God to open your eyes for the opportunity to share a portion of your overflow to them. Your willingness and obedience to give will return back to you more blessings than you could earn by your own merit. God has a way of multiplying your dollars, your time, and your prayers to benefit someone other than self.

And the King will answer and say to them, “Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me. Matthew 25:40

You’ll never run out of blessings when you invest them in the Lord. God bless!

For, “The one who desires life, to love and see good days, must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit. He must turn away from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. 1 Peter 3:10-11

Generally speaking, I believe people want to live life to its fullest. The means by which people get there hass a fine line between good and evil. Today’s scripture provides sound advice for those who desire life to be good by being truthful and turning away from evil. Nothing gained by wrong intentions will ever last and eventually your negative actions will be exposed, either here now or upon the day of judgement. Either way, it’s best not to do others dirty. It will come back on you.

The bible is full of proverbs and advice on seeking a peaceful life. Living a God pleasing life will never harm you, but will actually bless you in multiple ways; living in peace with others and finding favor with God. I can’t think of two better things to strive for in life than peace and God’s approval.

As you charter new territory on a daily basis, seek to do right, speak well of others or don’t speak at all, and most of all think about what brings honor to God. You’ll never have regrets when you live life to the fullest in the eyes of God’s approval. Blessings!

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12

As a child of God, you might feel the pressure to conform to the ways of the world. There are things in this world meant to distract you from the truth of God’s word and Satan knows what trick is best to catch you off guard. Living for Jesus is a daily struggle to walk in righteousness and not fall off the narrow pathway He provides each day.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

You might be going through a difficult trial right now. The testing of your faith is on and the decisions you make from early morning til you lay down at night will determine your faithfulness. It might seem overwhelming at times, but God is faithful and just, and will give you the strength to navigate the difficulties and trials life throws at you. You already have victory in Jesus Christ, so carry on, knowing your strength comes from the Lord and you will win today’s battles. God bless!

Set your mind on things above, not on things of the earth. Colossians 3:2

Your brain is the control center of your life. Everything that your body does, starts in the brain. Every heartbeat, every breath, every desire, every movement….ect. It all comes from the brain. As your brain keeps you alive, it also processes your data received and affects how the body responds. In fear your heart rate goes up and the body tenses, when happy a smile is generated and a feeling of joy overcomes you.

So, the real question today, why consume yourself with things of this world that will eventually pass away (1 John 2:17). Today’s passage reminds us that as Christians, our thoughts should be focused on God, not this world. After living 50 plus years I can tell you there is no gold nugget in this world. The benefits of living by faith, not by sight, in the Lord, has brought me more blessings and joy than anything I’ve experienced on earth. He will bless you for keeping your brain focused on the great things He offers.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable perfect will of God. Romans 12:2

A life that follows in the footsteps of Jesus Christ starts in the mind. As you begin to develop and grow your mindset towards Him, your life will resemble more a Christlike character and people will truly notice the changes, opening up the opportunity to share your faith. Start today by putting aside the things of this world and ask God to fill your mind with His goodness so you can be the light in this dark world. God bless!

Jesus mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it”. John 2:5

The setting for Jesus miracle turning water into wine; found in John 2:1-11

Jesus and His disciples were invited to a wedding. Jesus’s mother was there as well. As the wedding feast went on, the servants ran out of wine. Jesus’s mother approached Him with the concern, He in turn instructed the servants to fill six water pots with water, and in the process turned that water into the best tasting wine of the night (John 2:10). By this time Mary knew what her son could do to resolve the problem and asked for His help, and He clearly saved the day.

…that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:5

Maybe you are lacking something in your life that has dwindled down to nothing. Relationship, finances, employment, health, the list is endless, but it’s important to you. Why not bring your request to Jesus today. If He can turn water into wine, He can turn nothing into something with a little faith on your part.

And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:19

And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight. 1 John 3:22

Yesterday I experienced an answered prayer. It was a specific prayer and the circumstances could have gone one way or another. God in His ability to answer prayer, allowed something to happen that resulted in my prayer being answered. Truly it was God’s signature and once again assured me that God is in the business of answering the prayers of His children.

You might be thinking that the second part of today’s verse is conditional. If you do what He says, He will answer your prayers, otherwise you are not going to experience His help. Truth is we all sin and fall short. No one is worthy of God’s help. But through the loving sacrifice of Jesus Christ, you are washed clean so He can commune with you and hear you when you cry out  to Him. Yes, walking in a manner pleasing to Him is important, but His love is not conditional.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that is we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 1 John 5:14

If your request is something outside His will for your life, you can bet He won’t give it to you. He is like any father who only wants the best for His children and won’t give you anything that will harm your witness or relationship with Him. When you ask God for something, you can have the confidence His response will be in your best interest. Trust Him with every request! God bless!

Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. Psalm 86:6

When you have something heavy on your heart, what do you normally do? For most, it’s pick up the phone and contact someone very close, so you can share with them your burden. And for the most part, the person receiving your cries for help will offer some form of assistance either by action or words, but is that truly what you need?

When you lift your burden to the Lord, He already knows in advance what’s heavy on your heart and is waiting to receive your call for help. When you acknowledge to Him your needs, you become more keenly aware of His presence and within time can witness His awesome hand working in your situation. Sometimes He might appear slow to respond, but know He is working behind the scenes to bring the best result possible.

The next time you encounter trouble, call out to God. He will respond with help, far beyond what your closest friend can offer. Trust Him with today’s journey and the Lord will direct your steps so you can delight in your way.

Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4:13-14

What is one essential thing in your life that you feel you couldn’t live without? Maybe it’s a special relationship, your financial security, employment, home…the list of essentials is long. But the true question is, how long will it last? Today’s passage comes from John 4:1-26, the Samaritan woman who met Jesus at the well of Jacob. During their conversation Jesus calls her out for the five husbands she’s had and the one she was with wass not her husband.

Nothing this world has to offer can stand up to the blessing of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Once received by Him, you have a promise of an eternal home in Heaven. During your brief time on earth, God provides the necessary tools to navigate life. His wisdom, His encouragement, His protection and His grace and merciful love are the essentials that give you hope for each day. Your faith in Him is that source of living water that keeps His blessings overflowing in your life.

What’s your answer to the question above? Whatever your feel is critical to your need, just know that it will eventually fail (1 John 2:17), just like the Samaritan woman who kept seeking after a new relationship. Put your complete faith and trust in the Lord today, so when your earthly security fails, His living water will continue to sustain you here and for all eternity. God bless!

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, he is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

How you do feel about change? Things change in life, family traditions, jobs, relationships, financial obligations, the list is endless. Change never stops, and for some it can be a huge stumbling block to their success. We get comfortable in where we are, we feel secure, and thus settle for the norm, even if it is painful or causes stress.

Today’s verse is a great reminder that God encourages you to be courageous and take a step of faith towards something better. Changing the situation in  your life might be difficult, but God has something better in store for His beloved children. Maintaining the status quo limits the joy in your life, whereas change keeps things fresh and motivates you to discover more of God’s blessings.

Do you feel secure in where you are? If so, that’s ok, but just keep an open mind to God’s still quiet voice, calling you to make a change in your life for the better. Don’t worry about the changes that occur, God has already provided the resources to help you change your circumstances and as promised, He will not leave you nor forsake you. Change is inevitable, and if you are truly going to enjoy the benefits of His blessings, you’ll need to take that step of faith and trust Him for a better tomorrow. God bless!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6

As my retirement date draws closer, I’ve been reflecting over my career of 30 plus years. Even though my career began in 1990, God knew exactly where I’d be in 2022 and began preparing me at a young age for this wonderful job I’ve held most of my life. As I look back at some of the difficult times, times of uncertainty, times where I failed, and times that I was under great pressure, all of these times were used by God to train me. Although I had some dark days, I thank God for those times because they shaped me into the person I am today.

Maybe you are going through a difficult time, questioning the purpose in this pain. I can assure you the best method for moving through it is to try less to fix it and let it teach you a lesson. When you cling to the hand of God, He leads you, gives you wisdom when needed, encouragement to keep moving and hope for tomorrow’s blessings. God never leaves you alone, although He may appear quiet at the moment, His hand is working on your behalf. Trust Him through each of life’s chapters as they lead up to the final chapter of your life; well done my good and faithful servant! God bless!

Test all things; hold fast what is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:21

Have you ever engaged in a conversation with someone and as they spoke, you nodded in approval of what they were saying? Then later, you recall the conversation, processed what they said and realized they were totally in the wrong, or countered your beliefs. I am definitely guilty of this and oftentimes wish I had spoken up at the moment. Maybe you have done the same, but remained quiet so not to cause conflict in the moment of discussion.

As Christians, we need to be very careful what information we take in and accept as truth. Today’s society has shown us the truth is in whatever someone feels or whatever suits their life. Although they might sound very convincing, the truth of God never changes and it should always be used as a filter to dissolve the lies and delusional thinking of others.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

The best way to filter the words of others is to ask God for wisdom to know the gospel truth, so you can recognize things that counter God’s wisdom. Studying the bible provides a foundation of knowledge and will equip you to extinguish the mis-truth this world believes. As you begin a conversation with someone, simply ask God to be present and listen for His voice of reasoning.  He will show you when the truth is being blurred. Use that time to share your faith and belief, so you can give them a light back to God’s word.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. Psalm 32:8

From childhood until today, airplanes have always fascinated me. The idea of flying through the skies is a thrill. Since the invention of flight by the Wright brothers in the early 1900s, airplanes have filled the skies. Commercial air travel has now become a popular way to travel. I recently downloaded an airplane app that lets me see planes in flight all across the United States and other parts of the world. The skies are full and dependence upon air traffic control to guide them is a must if they are to fly without running into each other.

There is another busy traffic pattern and that is your life. The simplicity of life has been replaced by computers, cell phones, email, and social media. You are bombarded with an continue supply of information that overloads your life and can cause anxiety and confusion. That is why it’s so important to seek after the wisdom of God. He sees every element in your life and knows what is best for you, the opportunities of employment, relationships, purchases….He sees them all and more. His willingness to bless your life to the fullest is dependent upon your willingness to listen.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and he delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:23

If you want to truly live a God honoring, fulfilling life with the blessings of God continually showering down upon you, walk by faith, not by sight, with the Lord Jesus Christ. He has the best route planned for you through this busy traffic pattern of life. No other voice should be heeded, but His. Call upon Him today to request your day’s flight pattern and delight yourself in Him! God bless!

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

As you ride through a busy town, look at all the advertisements displaying signs to tempt you to turn off the road and do business with them. I can tell you they’ve worked on me, anytime I see the “fresh donuts” red light come on, I’m steering into Krispy Kreme!

As a child of God, you are on a journey, walking on a narrow path of righteousness, following Christ throughout the day. Unfortunately, satan is right there alongside your path, hoping to distract you with his worthless temptations. He knows your weaknesses, he knows when you are in need of that fulfillment and he flashes his red sign of desire, hoping you’ll simply take one step in his direction and follow you through til the sin has been committed. His reward is shame and guilt, all the while whispering lies about your unshakable relationship with your Savior.

No one is guilt free from satan’s temptations. We all have sinned, but thank God He provided a way for us to escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). The best advice I can give you is to keep your blinders on, so you are not distracted by the temptations satan offers. Looking way or avoiding places, things and people are the only way you’ll keep yourself from turning off that narrow path God has provided you. Keep your faith strong, your witness healthy and surrender your weakness into His care and He will sustain you! God bless!

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

As society continues to unravel, peace in this land, and around the world can be hard to find. Most news reports sadly talk about world leaders preparing for war. Jesus said that you will hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not troubled the end is not yet (Matthew 24:6). The outlook is not good, leaving many struggling to find peace in these troubled times.

Jesus Christ gave His disciples, and us, a simple message where to find peace, in Him. He is the rock that provides you security when troubled times come, He is the place you can go to find comfort when the things of this world have pained your heart and He is the only way to the Father in Heaven. Nothing this world has to offer can outdo Jesus Christ. Find your peace today in the Lord Jesus Christ.

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Tuesday, November 8, 2022

Jesus said, “For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have spoken in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops. Luke 12:2-3

If you’ve watched the news or social media videos, you know there are cameras everywhere, watching people, including you. From the doorbell, to the streetcorner and even in the woods, someone is always watching. Cameras have done a great job brining people to justice as there is no way to disprove what is videoed and shown in court.

One day we all will stand in judgement of the Lord. Everything done, including those things out of sight of everyone else, will be revealed. When you stop to think back over your life, you probably shake your head for some of the foolish things done or spoken. As a Christian, your sins are forgiven, thank you Jesus! But that doesn’t excuse you from God’s judgement.

Just think about it this way, every wrong will result in one less blessing. Obedience brings God’s blessings and if you walk that narrow path of righteousness, blessings will pave a path forward in life, everyday. Reminded of this, ask God to help you focus on doing the right things and continue to walk in the light of Jesus Christ. God bless!

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

The other day I saw a post where someone was unable to move ahead in life because of their past. Consumed by past failures and anxieties, this desperate person was held captive and appeared to have no forward vision. What an awful state to be in, especially when life has so many opportunities, just waiting to be explored.

Does this sound familiar in your life? I too have had times when I was unable to move forward because of past mistakes or concerned about what others might say or think. Let me offer you an idea on this matter. Learning from your mistakes, to make better choices tomorrow, is the only way you will dig yourself out of the pit. Having a vision for how things should look, will provide a goal for the future. It gives you something to focus your eyes upon, so you aren’t so concerned about what’s in the rear-view mirror of life.

God never intended for His children to be held captive by life’s failures or anxieties life generates. The grace and mercy Jesus provided you at Calvary was enough to break those chains so you can move forward in the life He’s called you to live. Press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus; it’s yours for the taking and God will bless you each step of the way moving forward on the path of life! God bless!

Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:11

If you’ve ever worn polarized glasses, you know that it filters out the light’s glare so you an see more clearly. It’s especially true when you look into lake water, everything becomes clearer. If you haven’t tried a pair on, go for it, the view is spectacular.

If you’ve studied the bible at any great length, you know that God is love and Jesus spoke about the importance of loving others. But, given this fleshly body, that can be quite difficult. People can disappoint you, even hurt you or those whom you are very close. Because of the negative experiences with others, the word love can easily be replaced by hate, revenge, anger and shunting them from your life. That’s not how God intended for His children to respond.

Only by the power of God’s grace, can you truly see the world through the eyes of God’s love. God uses those opportunities of disappointment to tender your heart so grace and mercy can blossom from the ashes of being burned by others. The purest example of this grace is Jesus hanging on the cross, asking His Father to forgive them (Luke 23:34).

If you’ve been wounded and having a difficult time finding love in your vocabulary for this person, ask God to help heal your heart and plant His seed of grace and mercy in the spoils of your pain. He’ll do it and bless you and heal that relationship far beyond anything you can do by your own strength and power. God bless!

Thus says the Lord God to these bones, “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you and you shall live. Ezekiel 37:5

In the book of Ezekiel, we read about a vision God provided to him (Ezekiel 37:1-14). A captive in the land of Babylon, Ezekiel must have felt as desolate and useless as the piles of bones that he had seen in the startling vision. He knew that only a miracle could bring the decimated and scattered people of Judah back together again in the Promised Land.

The vision showed God breathing life back into the dry bones of the spiritually dead and bring the dispersed nation of His people back together again.  The vision provided hope for Ezekiel who otherwise felt defeated and loss of love for the people he cherished.

Maybe you have encountered a time of dryness in your life. Uncertain health issues, failed relationship, experiencing the painful results of poor choices in life; all of these may make you feel hopeless. BUT GOD! Friend, if He can breath life back into dry bones, He can restore in you hope for a brighter tomorrow. Seek after Him in prayer, asking for His forgiveness, and request to take this time of dryness and restore you back to better days. Take confidence in knowing He has allowed this difficulty to provide you a foundation to push up from to reach the mountain top once again. God has you under His protective care. Trust Him today for tomorrow’s blessings are on the horizon. God bless!

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world make himself an enemy of God. James 4:4

Getting real this morning, whose side are you on? Today’s verse has a clear message that if your pursuits are towards the sinful pleasures of life, you are an enemy of God. This is a dangerous place to be! Every minute of every day, you have the choice of who you’ll follow. How can you align yourself with God’s perfect will?

The best way to start each day is to spend some quality time with the Lord in prayer and structured devotionals that are written to provide you spiritual growth and a better understanding of God through His word, the bible. When your focus is on Him first thing, it provides a theme for the entire day, that you will do your best to make choices that honor God and not the world. Yeah, at times your weakness will score one for the opposing team, but thankfully, as a child of God, your sins are covered by God’s grace and mercy.

If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. John 15:18

A good measuring tool of your loyalty to God is by the actions of others around you. If you are truly living a God honoring life, others around you will act differently, respect you by hiding their sinful ways, yet, will also hate you for they don’t want to expose the darkness that has blinded their heart. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into all that surrounding region, brought to Him all who were sick, and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well. Matthew 14:35-36

As Jesus ministry spread across the land, many who heard of His healing power were convinced that by simply touching His garment, they would be saved. Their faith in Him healed their sickness and that testimony is what sustained their faith from that day forward. You might be thinking that was all good and well in those days, but we don’t have the physical presence of Jesus to touch His garment.

That is why Jesus gave us His Holy Spirit upon departure from earth (John 14:15-27). His Spirit is God’s presence in our lives. We don’t have to go to where He is, He is with each and every child of God, 24/7. And the beautiful thing about that relationship with God is He knows your needs, your wants and desires. His Spirit prays on your behalf (Romans 8:26-27).

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:6

Whatever concerns you or weighs heavy on your heart, bring it to the Lord and He will help you in the time of need. Ask in faith and don’t doubt His ability or desire to work in your specific situation. He loves you and wants to give you peace and hope for tomorrow. Reach out in faith today and experience His healing touch. God bless!

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

Have you ever experienced the painful words, “I don’t love you anymore?”. Nothing could be more devastating than someone you love and trust to fall away from their love towards you. Those words tear at the heart and leave you feeling empty and at a loss. Human love is very fragile to external forces that leave you vulnerable when you open up to someone you truly care about.

The good news is there is ONE whose love for you never stops, and cannot be influenced by external forces. God’s love for you was confirmed on the cross at the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ. He bridged the gap between His holiness and sinful, fleshly humans. His love never changes according to the environment of your heart. I can personally attest that He has never failed to love me, even when I wasn’t at my best. His grace and mercy is unending. The verse above clearly defines that solid foundation of His love.

Human relationships are fragile indeed. If you want to enter into a trouble free relationship, start with Jesus Christ. Let His love set the standard for you as you seek out Godly friendships and a relationship with that special person who you want to share life with here on earth! God bless!
