For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
The process for
construction begins with a need. A need for a building to serve a specific
purpose and its location is critical for the success of the business. Once the
construction starts, all the pieces come together in an orderly fashion and
eventually it becomes a fully functional building to meet the needs of the
owner.
For we are God’s fellow
workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. 1 Corinthians 3:9
As a child of God,
you were appointed a place on earth to serve a specific purpose for God’s
kingdom. Even before you were born, God knew the plans He had for you (Jeremiah
1:5). He placed you in the perfect environment for your growth. From an
outward appearance, it might not seem perfect by any means, but it was meant to
grow you and guide you down a specific path so you’ll be prepared for your
purpose. As the pieces of your life come together, so does the progress of God’s
work and thus you become a living testament of God’s love, grace and mercy to
all of mankind.
If anyone’s work, which
he has build on it endures, he will receive a reward. 1 Corinthians 3:14
Where are you in God’s
construction project? His work never ends; so if you are at the beginning
stages or nearing the end, continue in your work for the Lord. His purpose for
your existence is to serve Him and help others find their way into the kingdom.
Serve Him well; for each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare
it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work
1 Corinthians 3: 13.
