Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 1 Corinthians 9:24
As you approach the end
of this year, you might have some ideas on what you’d like to see improved in
your life in the new year. Maybe it’s lose weight, find a better job, save more
money or even become debt free. Self-improvement is always a great idea and many
usually start off well, but within a few weeks or months, the desire to change
subsides and interest in lost, leaving you feeling guilty for failing to obtain
your goal.
I can do all things
through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
I encourage you to
include God in the equation. Whatever your goal is, ask God to help you achieve
success by staying in the race til the finish line. God will help you overcome
the hurdles you face, all the while your focus is on Him and not your problems,
frustrations and discouragements you encounter each day as you move closer to
that goal.
With your focus on
Him at the finish line, encouraging you to keep moving, you’ll get there;
better, stronger and with more faith in your Savior, as He yells out: “Well
done my good and faithful servant!” Go for the finish line! God bless!
