And behold, a leper
came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing. You can make me
clean.” Matthew 8:2
Do you have faith in
Jesus Christ that He can perform miracles in your life? This leper came to
Jesus, knowing of His healing power, and said if you are willing, You can
make me clean. He didn’t say…can you make me clean or is it possible
for you to make me clean. That leper didn’t question Him, he knew Jesus could
heal him and went to Him by faith. As you read the next verse, you see Jesus
healed him.
How many times have
you asked God for help in the form of a question? God, can you help me? God can
you heal me? God can you work a miracle in a situation I’m facing? Asking God
through a question shows a lack of faith and actually disappoints God when you
question His abilities.
But let him ask in
faith, without doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven and
tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything
from the Lord; he is a double-minded minded man, unstable in all his ways.
James 1:6-8
It’s ok to ask for
God’s will to be revealed as you navigate through life. But, when you seek His
help, make your request with the authority given to you as a child of God: Let
us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and
find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16.
God loves you and
wants to provide you all the necessities of life. When you put your faith and
trust in His ability to meet those needs, you are assured of His response by
providing you His very best.
Jesus said, “And
whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive. Matthew 21:22
