 Throughout the morning this thought kept coming back up in my mind: “Why do we have to suffer in this life?”. Broken marriages, failed health, loss of a loved one, financial ruin, homes destroyed by fire or nature, the list is endless, but each one brings pain, emotional suffering and turmoil. All of this makes you question why God allows us to go through such painful experiences.

 The truth is, life is fragile and things happen beyond our control, leaving us to turn to someone who can provide strength and endurance to press on when all hope seems to be gone. That One person is Jesus Christ. All throughout the New Testament you read about the many miracles He performed while on earth. Healing the sick, the blind, the lame, raising people from the dead (including Himself). There is one very powerful account of a woman who had an issue with bleeding for 12 years and simply touched the hem of His garment and was healed (click here for the story).

Even today, Jesus is still healing people and mending situations as people reach out to Him through prayer requests. Sometimes He answers in ways we don’t understand, like the death of a loved one, which beyond our vision, that loved one is completely healed in the presence of Jesus Christ.

 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10

 Whatever your current situation, reach out to Jesus Christ in prayer and have faith and trust that His answer will be in your best interest and for the one or situation you are praying. He loves you beyond anything you can ever imagine. Your faith in Him is the anchor that can carry you through each and every challenge life brings. Trust Him today! God bless!
