And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 2 Peter 1:19
Who do you trust in
your life? There are just a few people that I know who have gained my trust, in
word and deed, they have given me the proof I need to trust them. In today’s
world, that’s pretty good if you can trust more than a handful of people. But when
one you’ve trusted, lets you down, the pain runs deep and trust becomes a rare commodity.
In today’s
scripture, Peter encourages people to trust in the biblical prophecies and word
of God. All biblical scripture was inspired by God, not man (2
Peter 1:21). So you can trust what is written in the bible to help
you navigate this life. Nothing written is a lie, deceitful or cause for
confusion. It’s meant to encourage and foster a deeper relationship with God.
Like a light,
shining in the darkness, it should give you the confidence and peace to walk
through the difficult trials of life, walk in obedience amongst the lure of
temptation and most of guide you to be a Christlike example for the world to
see what your Savior has done for thee! When you find it difficult to trust,
dig into God’s word and find confidence in the scriptures. God bless!
