The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9

As the jury of Kyle Rittenhouse announced their “not guilty” verdicts, people across the nation began to voice their opinion and personal judgement against this young man. This trial has brought an emotional stir to thousands of people who’ve followed it from day one.

The truth of the matter is this man’s heart. What were his intentions? As much as we’d like to think we know, we really don’t. We don’t have access to the mind and heart of Kyle. So how can we truly voice the truth.

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgement you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” Matthew 7:1-2

Taking it a step deeper, how’s your heart? Are you innocent of sin, even crimes of the land? The truth is, no one is innocent, we are all guilty of sin and wrong doing. The dark things of your life might be hidden from others, but not from the eyes of God. He knows your heart and its intentions.

My advice, leave the judging to God and pray for Kyle and the families affected by this incident. Pray for yourself that God will forgive any of your shortcomings and thank Jesus for His amazing grace and mercy for mankind. God bless
