But many who are first will be last, and the last first. Mark 10:31
It is no surprise that
Jesus Christ’s, the Son of God, entry into this world came by less than ideal
situations; born in a barn and His first resting place was a feeding trough. His purpose in life was not to be first, but
to be last….taking on the role of a bondservant (Philippians
2:7). His purpose was to save mankind from their sins (Matthew
1:21). He lived a humble life and gave us a pure glimpse into the character
of God.
On this Christmas Eve,
I encourage you to reflect on the purpose of Jesus Christ and thank Him for His
unconditional love for you. He put Himself in last place so you could have a
personal relationship with Him. That is how much He loves you and all of
mankind. As a child of God, He wants you to live a humble and caring life, like
Jesus. The rewards are great for those who humble themselves (Matthew
23:12).
Merry Christmas
friend and God bless!
