To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places. Ephesians 3:10

 

One of the most important parts of a motorcycle is its wheels. Although they don’t propel the bike, they provide traction to stay on the road. Tires affect how the bike performs when the tires are inflated to the recommended pressure, they provide stability, better gas mileage and cushion the ride when it encounters all kinds of rough terrain. Without good tires, the bike’s performance is hindered.

 

As a child of God, compare your behavior to that of tires on a bike. How you act, your prayer life and trust in Jesus Christ, impact what happens outside the realm of your vision. Let me explain.

 

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

 

If you’ve read the bible much, you understand there is a spiritual battle going on outside your view.  How you live life can impact what goes on in that battle. Your prayers strengthen the warriors fighting on your behalf and protect you from devastating strongholds that can smother your joy. When you entertain evil thoughts or walk in purposeful sin, you chalk one up for the enemy.

 

Everything you do in life affects the spiritual battle being fought on your behalf. Don’t give the enemy another opportunity to win the battle. “See that you walk circumspectly; not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”  Ephesians 6:15-16. And put on the Whole Armor of God. The outcome of today’s battle depends on you, dedicate it to the Lord in prayer and obedience so the victory will be yours! God bless!
