And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25
During the peak of
the Covid pandemic, most of us got a taste of worshiping God on Sunday, sitting
on the sofa at home in our pajamas. The comforts of home were nice, but
oftentimes too comfortable to stay focused on the message broadcasted through
various forms of media outlets. It simply wasn’t the same as coming together in
God’s house, worshiping God with fellow believers.
Since then, the
church doors have opened, and some pews filled, but some still remain vacant
and you wonder what’s happened to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. We
do know that some have passed in the pandemic, some with weakened immunities
are remaining cautious by staying home, yet others have made it a habit of
staying home…quite possibly not even tuning in to church services any longer.
If you are reading
this blog, I strongly encourage you to get back to church and worship God with
your fellow Christians. From the friendly fellowship with others, to songs of
praise and obtaining a nugget of wisdom through the preacher’s message, all
these things combined feed the child of God wisdom and encouragement to live
out their faith on a daily basis.
“For where wo or
three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Matthew 18:20
If you truly want to
experience the presence of God, go where He is today, at your home church. You
won’t regret the effort it takes to leave the comforts of home and gather in
unison to receive God’s blessing and wisdom on the first day of the new week.
Start it off right in the house of God. Blessings friend!
