Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love doe not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Happy Valentines Day
everyone! I hope somewhere in this day you will feel the love and appreciation
from someone special or those who are close to you and have much appreciation
for your presence in their lives.
As you get to know someone,
you might develop a love for them. Today’s passages provide a true example of
what genuine love looks like. In this crazy world driven by social media and it’s
advertisements, the definition of love can become blurred and only measured by
emotions. True love goes beyond the emotions and is still standing when the
greatest storms and rough patches hit.
“And above all
things have fervent love for one another, for love will cover a multitude of
sin.” 1 Peter 48
I can say, without a
doubt, my experience with genuine love is found in my relationship with my
wife. She loves fervently and without hesitation provides grace and mercy to me
when needed. I am a very blessed husband to have her in my life. My prayer is
you have someone who is anchored in love and shares the same in your
relationship. It’s a beautiful thing.
If you want true
love for your life, put Jesus at the center of everything you do. He is love.
Everything in His character resembles the lasting love that few can find on
this side of eternity. Keep Him front and center in your life and you will know
what love looks like in your relationships and interactions with other people.
Happy Valentines Day!
