Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may be glad with exceeding joy. 1 Peter 4:12-13

 

Do you ever feel like there is a target on your back? You go through the day, encountering one painful circumstance after another, without any sight of relief. If you are a Christian, you are in the eyesight of satan’s weapons, meant to cause you pain and misery. His intentions are to discourage you and weaken your spiritual strength. Why? The best way to fire back is to give praise to the Lord. As a Christian, you are his child and He has your back. When you focus on praising Him, you shield yourself from those flaming arrows so you can keep the momentum of your spiritual journey moving forward and not withdrawing. God will bless you when you keep up the fight to endure through life’s struggles and spiritual attacks.

 

When you feel like waiving the white flag of surrender, look to God and praise Him for His goodness. Find positive blessings in the middle of the attack; they will give you footing to forge ahead.
