A time to weep, and a time to
laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
Ecclesiastes 3:4
This is the first Christmas celebrated without my
grandmother. She lived to be 99 years old and died just 2 days short of her 100th
birthday in September. At Christmas I was thinking about her and the sadness of
her being gone. But, then a thought occurred to me about what she was doing and
my sadness turned to joy. As a child of God, she celebrated the birth of Christ
with Jesus in Heaven. What an awesome way to celebrate Christmas, with the
Savior Himself.
I’m sure you have experienced loss of a loved one, and special
moments like Christmas, makes it that much more difficult. If your loved one is
a child of God, you can rest assured they are in a better place and have more
reason to celebrate than anyone. They are with the Savior. Just know that your
time to weep is replaced by laughing and mourning into dancing. Your loved one
is at the feet of Jesus, praising His name. Find comfort in those thoughts as
you continue through this holiday season! God bless!
